Last Wednesday (8th) was my younger daughter's birthday, so I'll pop up a couple of pics, it was a 'big one' as they say, but I'll leave you to figure out how big, as I don't want to get lynched just in case she reads this.
I give you my heart Mum,
Craig [son] with his girl friend Jade
Daughter Rhianna at the back
Jason and Karen
Now what do you think upset her :-)
With her big sister Arlene
However as you will all know that to-day is Valentines day, and when shopping in the local Supermarket, it was touching to see lots of males buying flowers most surely for their loved ones, and it came to me, again., as it does every year, that I have never, ever received a valentine card. despite two husbands and my modest share of boy friends. .
I wonder what this says about me, or maybe it's their failing. Oh well I've survived this long so it can't be the end of the world, Maybe I'll have 'My Funny Valentine' played at my funeral to redress the balance :-)
In case there are any more sad sacks like me out there, let me send you a Valentine and wish you all the love in the world.
XXXXXX
Thank you for visiting and please come back, Arlene, Tango and Ruby

ReplyDeleteI do like your change here very easy on the eye.
Hugs Sheila and Wile-e xx
Hi Sheila, Yes I wouldn't mind being 'that' age again too, she was dreading it, as was her sister when she hit OK I'll say it.... the big 50 ! so what I said, it's just a number, even though it's half a century, that did it, I don't think she'll ever forgive me. LOL
DeleteI thought it was about time I did something with the blog as it was just so plain. Love and cosy hugs to Wile-e he'll soon be able to go out without a coat if the weather keeps getting warmer.
Oh well shoot, if I had known you had never received a valentine I most assuredly would have sent you one. My husband was always one to give me chocolates. Oh, how I miss that guy.
ReplyDeleteToday is my daughter's birthday and I took her to lunch. Check my blog for a pic. xx

DeleteIt's a blistering 31 here today, lol. I have received cards and flowers at times, and other times like today, breakfast made for me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter.
31 ! wow, how lucky, I can't wait, it seems like I wish my life away every winter, wishing it was over and it was summer again ! Luckyyou having a nice Valentine breakfast, I wish someone would spoil me like that sob, thank you for birthday wishes Terry.
DeleteIt was also my grand-daughter's 24th birthday on the 11th. Feb.
I'm looking forward to things warming up a bit. I know how you felt.
ReplyDeleteIt can't come too soon Rob, I expect you're dying to get your hands deep into the earth.
DeleteWell it may be late but here's wishing you a very happy Valentine's Day, Arlene! I'm pretty much back to what passes for normal in my world and trying to catch up. It's good to be back in the land of the living!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chip, and better late than never, the sentiments are just as appreciated. XX
DeleteSo glad to hear you're so much better, it's been a bit of a long haul for you in Withyville, I hope you are going to treat Frankie to something nice, a meal out or something for being so patient with you.
Take care
