Hello...............

Hi all just a quick blog as I've spent another afternoon playing with my blog,  oh dear, this has to stop, but I quite like the way it's shaping up.
Just something I wanted to share with you all.  The other day as I mentioned my grand-daughter and her husband took me to lunch, they came back to sit a while, and the conversation got round to spiders, I mentioned I had a huge one above my bed the other night, now they don't really worry me, but it was pretty big and directly above the pillow, I got a dish, captured it and deposited it in the bathroom so he could find a space under the bath or something. Jon said that they come down at night when you're asleep and drink or lick or suck! gets worse, the saliva from the corner of your mouth, and if you happen to be a ' lie on your back mouth open' person, they will go in your mouth, for a bath maybe? but he said, if you've ever woke in the night choking it's possibly because a spider has gone a bit too far down your throat!!! get on I said, but I got to thinking I'll make a check in the bedroom before I put out the light now, ugh, I think he was pulling my leg, anybody ever heard of this?? Off out tonight so I'll hope to catch some answers tomorrow.

  1. Oh My, I hope it's not right. Yukk..
The poor spider, if I find one I capture it in a jar or something and put it outside, telling it to go on it's way. I used to be a real wuss, and run for it, but now, no matter how big, it gets freedom. xPenx

  2. Yes, It's true that they can get in your mouth, heard on one of the afternoon DR. shows, I believe. I kill the little critters because they'll just come back in. I saw your comment on my blogspot, in white typing, their choice not mine.

  3. I don't really mind spiders too much....as long as they're in a "far, far better place" and I always do my best to help them along on their journey.

My ex was bitten by a brown recluse and, after several months of treatment, finally had to have surgery on her hand to clear up the infection.

  5. Well it is the time of year for spiders so they are just about everywhere you look. I know they come out at night but never heard of that before Arlene. I don't like them in my bedroom because they come out to play. yak but otherwise I just leave them alone after all they have a right to be here to.

  6. Oh dear ladies, I am sorry if I've given you the creeps, poor spiders they are really quite harmless, I'm in Lady P and Chip's camp, I always rescue them, same with worms and lady birds, in fact anything that's out of it's environment, smug c*w I hear you say. OK I deserved it.
It's the season when the males come out to mate and then they die, They are pretty much harmless, but I do remember when our cat was a little kitten she was playing with a big one and went to eat it and it bit the inside of her mouth, she did yell. So they bite, suck your life's juices, drop on your face, and die probably ion your bed. That's life.

  11. Yes, it is true and I don't like them one little bit. lol I've got plenty of the creepy things in my place, all different shapes, sizes and colours. I've had 3 of the big ones with long legs in my bedroom in as many days. I noticed 2 of them crawling along the ceiling, one of which I clobbered before it started to be right over my bed. Then the next night I happened to look up just before turning off the light to go to sleep, there was directly overhead. I made it go over to the wall and shooed it along into corner of the ceiling where I clobbered it. Just the though of one on me gives me the heebie jeebies, never one crawling in my mouth. ewwwww! I've even woke up with spider bites, so it's either me or them. My cats usually get the majority of them.
