Sorry Santa

I went to the supermarket the other day to stock up on food, and I saw some Venison steaks, now I've never tried Venison, and thought I'd give it a go, so I bought some, They were quite nice, not strong tasting but the meat was firm and dark enjoyable, Then I started thinking oh- er supposing that was Dasher, or Blitzen or even Dancer, or could be worse and be Bambi or Rudolph , :-((   I felt a bit funny especially when I could hear jingling noises. so Santa if you're missing one of your reindeer, go look at Sainsbury's supermarket, I deny all knowledge of any crime, but please don't leave me off your list.

  5. Awwwww, Arlene....now be a "deer" and let Rudolph run free, lol.
I used to cook venison and yes, it's good. Tastes like beef. In fact, the same way beef is used goes for venison: chops, ribs, steaks, roasts, and ground. Makes great spaghetti sauce with the ground and yummy shish-ke-bobs. In my next life I'm coming back as a stomach.

  6. Don't worry Arlene, you're off the hook. lol
I think we can honestly say Santa's team is safe up there in the North Pole and I think Lo is right, Old Rudolph and the rest of the team would be quite tough by now. LOL
Just wondering, are you getting my updates? GreatGranny told me she's not getting them. I've checked my setting and everything looks good my end so I'm thinking it must be a glitch.

  7. Hi Robyn, no I haven't been getting any updates from you, I've just spent almost three hours catching up on others' updates though.
Hi Jenny, I think I'd have venison again, it was tasty and slightly garlicky. Yuk don't come back as a stomach, that sounds ghoulish, better maybe a food gourmet, and get paid for it.
Lo, maybe Bambi would be tender. LOL no I didn't mean it, oh dear I bet Santa's put an indelible pen right through my name now. no prezzies for Arlene this Christmas.

  8. Farm-raised venison is much different tasting than wild venison. Wild definitely has a gamey taste that too strong for me. Just don't think about Bambi or Rudolph. Do you think about the hens from Chicken Run when you're having a nice roast chicken?

  9. No Wifie I try not to think of the original shape of the meat I eat, thankfully, but as I did say on Wordpress I do only buy Free range, organic and English for example I won't buy Danish bacon as I know they keep the pigs in little tight pens, I think it was farm raised venison, but I'll be checking that out.
