Following on from my last post,
I’ve organised a trip to the cinema with some my dance friends to see The King’s Speech, as I couldn’t book seats by phone, I thought to have a trip to the cinema in Christchurch and book, one of my friends lives en route, so I rang her and suggested I pick her up and we’ll have a coffee, OK around 11 am agreed Mary.
I woke up around 7 am and lay in bed planning the morning, thinking I’ll either do the ironing or wash the windows, go out around 9.45 to walk the dogs then pick up Mary, yes, that sounds a good start to the day.
Lying in the bath I was thinking about Friday and recalled I couldn’t take Barney out that morning, and suddenly remembered, this is Wednesday I take him out to-day ! I pick him up at 10 [ish] and return him 11 [ish] Another quick phone call to pull his time forward to 9.30, oh dear I am losing my mind? I’m sure of it, is there any hope for me??
Thank yoou all for your comments, and yes it was a close call. phew.
During a visit to my doctor, I asked him, "How do you determine whether or not an older person should be put in an old age home?"
"Well," he said, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the person to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket because it is bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" he said. "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"
ARE YOU GOING TO PASS THIS ON … OR DO YOU WANT THE BED NEXT TO MINE? :

ReplyDeleteWe are not getting older, we are getting better.
The King's Speech love to see that , but will have to wait till in our local area. Getting older such wisdom we hold and looking out at all the world to know and understand about what we see and hear. Pretty good , good health as I said before is so important of course. Hugs Arlene enjoy your movie. xxSheila and Wile-e xxx
