Hi folks, I thought I'd do a little bit of writing to let you know I'm still in the land of the living.
Yesterday was father's day as you all know, Though I haven't got a father I was invited to my grandchildren's Father day outing,
We went to a restaurant and had not too bad a meal but the service left a bit to be desired, it was slow in the extreme, my daughter went twice to chase up some steak. I opted for the carvery and I will tell you the tale about that. There was10 of us including baby Tommy, my great grandson, so there was obviously a selection of meals ordered. After some deliberation I opted as I say for a carvery and went to help myself, no one was behind the counter, so I went back to the bar and asked if anyone was serving, he said yes, and he'd send him round. some of the others were there at the bar too. I went back to the meat counter and ordered some beef and pork then proceeded to help myself to the roast potatoes and veg, then went back to the table to eat. Someone said I was quick, and I said I just went up and got served, Did you get a ticket? asked my daughter, No, They laughed, as I should have got a ticket at the bar and paid for my meal. ooops, well they said don't worry about it, and as the service was so bad it served them right. But I did pay for my ice cream. Now don't go thinking I do this normally, but with a bit of encouragement, I succumbed to dishonesty, Do you think I'll roast in hell?
Thank you for visiting and please come back, Arlene, Tango and Ruby
If you come on here looking for some mind-blowing conversation or profound words of wisdom, well you've come to the wrong place and will be disappointed. I'm just an ordinary bod who likes to share my day with anyone who cares to listen. Tales of my dogs, my garden, my family and happenings in my life that I feel might just be amusing....If you're happy with that, draw up a chair, light up a ciggie if you wish or have a cup of tea and make yourself at home.
No I don't think so either. If the service is that bad it serves them right.

ReplyDeleteI doubt it very much. Funny though. Bad service can ruin a whole night out, and not good for the business either.
ReplyDeleteThanks all I don't feel too bad now as I have got some comrades in crime rooting for me.LOL
ReplyDeleteNice one Arlene you did well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break
