To-day and yesterday

My daughter Arlene came up to-day with daughter's Lisa and Sarah and partners Jon and Ross, for lunch, Martin had to stay home and catch up with some work.
Arlene brought up filling for sandwiches, that's why I baked a loaf yesterday, with lots of nice fillings, crisps and custard doughnuts, it was a tasty bite for lunch.
We were hoping to go for a walk but the weather just wouldn't play ball, and it drizzled on and off, so instead I got out the old videos and let the guys see what their other halves were like when they were younger, there was some hilarity and some AAAAAAAwwwws. I got a bit sad when I saw my old dogs who have gone to Rainbow bridge.
Yesterday, well last evening, I went to a community games evening, it was a good evening, I played a card game called UNO for the first time, and we were soundly beaten by a 91 year old lady who was also playing for the first time !!, She is also a whizz at Scrabble, all I can say is I was glad we weren't playing for money. She was hot stuff. I think she must have worked in a gambling club in her younger days.
Off to bed now g'night.

Thank you for visiting and please come back, Arlene, Tango and Ruby

  3. Hi Arlene just stopping in for a quick visit. Looks like you have had some visitors at your home. Oh what a nice afternoon that must have been with family and watching the old videos. I never did have a video camera so don't have the reminice about. So at your games night you have discovered the game Uno. We use to play that all the time. It is such an easy game to play. I play a new game this summer when all my girlfriends came for a visit called Left Right Center. Only it is played with money, But so easy and the game goes quickly. Well fall is slowly showing it's feeling around my place. There is a nip in the air at night. Flowers are still doing well and managed on more camping trip. Hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs Carrie

    1. Hi Carrie, nice to see you. I don't use my video camera very much any more as the children and g.children have grown up, and the dogs don't do much any more, too old, but I am glad I did do all these videos years ago, they do bring back such lovely memories.
I haven't heard of that game you play, but as we don't play for money, after all it is in the church hall. :-) but maybe it would be a good idea to lo0k it up for when girl friends come round.
We too are starting to feel a nip in the air as Autumn approaches, I hate to see summer go, I love the warm drowsy summer days and the warm nights, My flowers haven't done well this year as we had such a contrary summer, two days rain and one day fine for so long.
Enjoy what's left of the week too Enjoy X
