If you come on here looking for some mind-blowing conversation or profound words of wisdom, well you've come to the wrong place and will be disappointed. I'm just an ordinary bod who likes to share my day with anyone who cares to listen. Tales of my dogs, my garden, my family and happenings in my life that I feel might just be amusing....If you're happy with that, draw up a chair, light up a ciggie if you wish or have a cup of tea and make yourself at home.

My clothes don't fit
My clothes don't fit properly anymore, They used to, at least till I went on holiday to Jersey, No matter how I put them on, I've tried inside out, and back to front, no good, so now I'll try left to right and right to left, still can't do up the buttons, how about top to bottom? or clockwise or anticlock wise, it's still no good, maybe if I put front to back or outside in, the necks too tight, the zip won't work, or maybe it's just they don't make clothes like they used to, so I've got two choices, dump them all and buy new, can't got no money, or I'll have to eat less, good idea as it will save money, any ideas?

Well now, you're in a pickle, give a few days, you'll be back to normal, probably just water.Drink a lot of water and get the flow going....lol
ReplyDeleteGreatGran, thanks, but can you tell me what 'normal' is, it's been so long I've forgotten.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry Arlene, you'll lose it again, it's not like you indulge a lot.
ReplyDeleteRight now I've got the same problem, I've noticed my clothes feel a little more snug since I've got the bread machine. I'm cutting back on the bread. lol
GreatGranny's advice about drinking lot of water is good, think I'll try and increase my water intake too.
It's the holidays! Happens to everyone! The entire world walks around with either elastic waist pants or with zippers at least half way down, LOL. I refuse to give you sympathy because if I do, then that means I'm the ONLY one that can't get any regular clothes on. I hate being alone ;)
ReplyDeleteNow, please pass the bread :D XOXOXO
Thank you NOT, Jenny D, I was hoping for sympathy form just everyone, just shows a gal can be so wrong about her friends. :-)), I too blame it on the bread machine Robyn.. BTW I have lost a little weight I was 120 lbs now I'm 116lbs, but it's so slow coming off. and before you all say, well that's not a lot, I'm only 5'0" and little with it. 112lbs is enough. Off to bed now, BTW I'm hoping to adopt another dog, going on Thursday weather permitting she's called Ruby, but I'll blog it maybe to-morrow.
ReplyDeleteIt is that time of the year. You will be able to take it off next month.
ReplyDeleteI was sympathizing until I saw you comment that you weighed 116 pounds - good grief! Here in the land of the supersized, that is just next door to disappearing altogether. I am sure that you'll be down to 112 in no time. What you lose quickly, you regain quickly, so slow is the way to go. Maybe you could wear a coat when you go out and leave the dress beneath unbuttoned?
ReplyDeleteNow David, I'll just ignore the rest of your post, that first bit of sympathising with me. LOL, I do know that I'd look pretty slight compared to people 'across the pond' I gather, but you're all taller as well.
ReplyDeletep.s. I don't have a dress with buttons. :-))
I don't know the answer Arlene, other than magic clothes that adjust to whatever your 'shape' when worn... Now...wouldn't that be a fantastic invention, mm.., 5ft and little with it...I'm 5ft 7 and about average...(Heh!! not going to say what average is) BUT I think the trouble with clothes is....fat days and slim days... they happen all the time to me, and every time I wash my jeans I'm sure they shrink a little more...
ReplyDeleteBess has been poorly again, but after some TLC and sensitive dog food, (Royal Canin) she's picking up and her digestion seems to be rallying... Strewth, this weather is driving me and her round the bend... RAIN please!!!
hugs and licks to you 'n' Tango from

I see Frankie's hand in this. Each winter she shrinks my clothes then tries to tell me I'm packing on the pounds. I can always count on finding at least 2 pairs of jeans under the tree that are WAY too large for me. According to her mt waist size has increased 10 inches in the past 25 years. That can't be right; I wore the same size jeans for over 20 years before I met her!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pen and Chip for comments, and I agree Pen I've had enough of this weather, I want SUN,SUN and more Sun.
ReplyDeleteI hope Bess continues to get better, I've got T on First Choice, and he's like a puppy again, scoffs it like a starved waif..Lots of Licks and hugs to her.
I'm thinking it's more down to Frankie's good home cooking Chip, you enjoy it and to hell with a couple, just a couple mind, of extra pounds.
I'd say try eating less and walking a bit more. Maybe just adding in 20 to 30 minutes a day. Even if it's raining. That's what Wellies and Mackintoshes are for, after all.
ReplyDeleteHello Wifie, but I haven't got time to walk more, I walk for nearly two hours in the morning and 3/4 hour early evening, my little legs would be 'shrunk' so much my butt would be dragging the ground. sob,
ReplyDeleteHi Arlene,
