Sorry folks it's not a chirpy upbeat blog, but a gal's got to have a little deviation from the norm occasionally, if being a ditz is normal.
for cat lovers
for dog lovers
and for lazy lumps like me
If you come on here looking for some mind-blowing conversation or profound words of wisdom, well you've come to the wrong place and will be disappointed. I'm just an ordinary bod who likes to share my day with anyone who cares to listen. Tales of my dogs, my garden, my family and happenings in my life that I feel might just be amusing....If you're happy with that, draw up a chair, light up a ciggie if you wish or have a cup of tea and make yourself at home.
I intend being a lazy lump myself this weekend Arlene! It might snow, if it does I will take the camera out, but apart from that its cold out there!!
ReplyDeleteArlene, I know exactly what you mean. It's actually called Meniere's Disease, same thing. I have it and just like you, it came on with no warning whatsoever; and just like you, I take those little seasickness pills. But wow, when it first hits, it's CRAZY! I walked right into the door and I was even holding on to the walls. Now it comes on about once a month or so and if I can get to the pills without breaking my neck, then I'm good to go for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteHey, you and I should walk down the street together BEFORE we take those pills, lol. Wonder how many pubs would let us in, hahahaha.
It's just come on the weather forecast for the South, 'snow is on the way' but believe it or not, when I went out with Barney and Tango to-day I was wrapped up like an Eskimo, by the time I was on the way home the sun came out and I was too hot!, crazy weather.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I don't get attacks that often Jenny, and I hope I don't start to., they can be quite frightening. If we walked down the street like that, they'd think we'd been in one pub too many. LOL
Thanks Chip and Sam for adding to my Guest book.
ReplyDeleteMy vertigo is a side effect of some of the meds I'm on. This is what I mean when I say I've had a bout of the WOO-WOOs. The first time it hit me we were on our way out to eat. Suddenly my vision started to pulse!!! It was in February and when I tried to brace myself I apparently stepped on the only patch of ice on the whole street. The next thing I knew I was UNDER Frankie's Jeep and the girls were trying to be careful about dragging me out because my head made a loud whacking sound wen it hit the pavement on the way down. I got a trip to the ER and a big dose of pain killer injected into my butt with a large, very dull and most likely bent hypo. The ER doc said he didn't know what was wrong with me but if I was still having problems the next day to call my doctor. She called ME and told me what it was and to get used to it because it would happen again!
ReplyDeleteAwww Arlene
ReplyDeleteI know what that feels like asnd it is really horrible,
When i had it the Dr gave me STEMETIL which i found very good not only did it take the giddiness away but it also helped to calm the stomach down which as you know is one of the unpleasant symptoms of it
Hope you feel better soon, just don't turn you head quickly. and if you have a back garden just let Tango go out there till you feel better
Thinking of you xxxx
Oh Arlene sounds horrendous must have been pretty scary for you. And there's that sicky feeling oh how awful, do take care and I hope it doesn't happen again.
ReplyDeleteLazy weekend sounds about right well sort of, just keeping the snow cleared from my back door. Hugs SheilaxHope Tango ok to.
I'm sorry to hear about your vertigo, it's a horrible feeling and can be so frightening too. I hope this doesn't become a regular occurence for you and hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe graphics you posted are cute. The little cat looks a bit like my Mini.
Hi all, thanks for your good wishes and concern, I felt much better the next day, it's just such a pain in the derrière knowing that you've got this sitting behind your skull and wondering when it's going to pounce. That was a real scary attack you had Chip. I've never had anything drastic happen, but I just hate that 'out of control' feeling.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember rightly it was Stemetil the doc gave me the first time, I think I'll get some more for standby.
But it 's gone for now so I'll forget it.
so make a note of Stemetil and don't forget!!!
ReplyDeleteGotta look after yourself or else!!.. and chirpy upbeat blogs are for the budgies of this world ... Life sucks sometimes , so sharing is what matters... Hope you're feeling 100% better today...x Pen n' Bess x
Thanks Pen, I appreciate your concern, I do feel lots better and I will be phoning the doc. to get a repeat prescription.
