Wasted time

Apart from being able to get the dogs out this morning I have spent the day waiting for a parcel to be picked up, I gave it to my neighbour while I walked the dogs and took it back when the pick ups never arrived, I should have gone to Art club, but put it off, fortunately my daughter came up to keep me company and we did have a good afternoon, Now she has gone home, at 4 pm and the parcel is still here.
The dogs are starting to get the fidgets as it's walkies time for them again and it will be dark in about 3/ 4 hour it's also bitterly cold and the temperature is falling. I'm not a happy bunny.
When I requested a pick up I asked for an approximate time which of course they couldn't give me. You would think they could at least make a quick phone call when it gets to around 2 pm just to let people know that they still have you on their list, I can see someone is going to get a helping of Tongue Pie if this isn't picked up soon.
Thank you for visiting and please come back, Arlene, Tango and Ruby

  1. Well they certainly deserve 'tongue pie'. That's awful. Customer service sure is a thing of the past in most cases.

  4. Well, he came half an hour after I posted, thankfully, but I am going to phone the company in the morning and suggest to them that they try to be more specific as to whether or not there is a latest time to expect a pick up, I ended up going out in the dark with the dogs, it was fffffffffffffffffffffffffffreeeeeeeeeeeezing. but a nice hot bath and some supper later, I'm in a better humour. But the tongue pie is best served cold so it will be delivered in the morning. Warm hugs to all XX

  5. Delivery companies do my head in. Half of them can't even find where they're supposed to be delivering too. We live in the grounds of the big house which is named as part of our address and they still can't find us even though the place can be seen from miles around. If it means finding somewhere without a satnav or them having to get out and ask the way you can say goodbye to whatever it is they are supposed to be delivering. I find that Parcel Force are the best at finding us and UKMail and City Link are absolute rubbish. Maybe we should do a survey as to be best and worse delivery companies!

  6. Hi Rob I know what you mean, I usually get a phone call saying I can't find you, no matter how explicitly I have given the directions. This guy eventually turned up at 5 pm.
I'd be worried about pointing out the worst in case they made reprisals. One time my brother sent me a camera and because I wasn't in, he put it behind the car wheel, can you believe it? I drove over it. Another time I had a special delivery of important papers, and again as I wasn't in he posted it in the letter box, which is outside at the top of the drive. It should have been signed for. I raised a bit of a stoor when I went to the P.O. next day
