Thank you for visiting and please come back, Arlene, Tango and Ruby
I have to blog this stuff before I forget, but will be back this evening to reply to previous comments, and Val I got your message and will follow up, ta,
Had to get up in the night for Tango, and crawled back into bed at 4 am but couldn't sleep for a while, eventually did and woke up at 8.45 am ! wow, almost unknown, Anyhow by the time I did the usual morning chores, took the dogs out did some shopping and returned it was lunch time.
I picked up a couple of plants from the supermarket, now hope for good weather to plant them, I fancied a salad to-day for lunch, and I made a huge one, Somme nice dark and pale green slightly bitter lettuce, crunchy carrot sticks, earthy beetroot, sharp tomatoes buttery sweet corn, clean tasting celery, succulent squishy shrimps ,tasty fish sticks, sweet tasting red pepper [capsicum] drizzled over with some tasty slightly sharp New York deli coleslaw, and a sprinkling of celery salt, I thoroughly enjoyed it, BUT that's not all, I finished off with a raspberry and fresh cream turnover with a nice cup of Yorkshire tea.Bliss, all I needed now was a ciggie to sit and contemplate it all, but I stopped 35 years ago LOL so I'll forego that pleasure, though I admit to sometimes, just sometimes in feeling the slightest of urges...... but I'm not that daft. well that's it for now folks, as it's dry I hope to get out and do some gardening, no sense in wasting the day as it's forecast rain for the next week, time enough then to finish off my curtains, it's now 3 pm and the day's almost gone, catch you this evening.#
If you come on here looking for some mind-blowing conversation or profound words of wisdom, well you've come to the wrong place and will be disappointed. I'm just an ordinary bod who likes to share my day with anyone who cares to listen. Tales of my dogs, my garden, my family and happenings in my life that I feel might just be amusing....If you're happy with that, draw up a chair, light up a ciggie if you wish or have a cup of tea and make yourself at home.
That salad sounds scrumptious as does the dessert.
ReplyDeleteIt was Beth, and I have enough left over for to-morrow minus the dessert though, you can have too much of a good thing, if you believe that.....you'll believe anything.
DeleteOooh Arlene, my mouth was watering at the thought of that salad, yummy not to mention the raspberry and fresh cream dessert...I haven't had my dinner yet, but have been to a flower show in a local church today, it was lovely. I will get round to blogging about it at some stage lol xxx
ReplyDeleteAs I said to Beth it was nice, I can't understand how it can be part of a diet, as it was huge and lots of stuff. but it's the thought that counts, eh? and yes do blog about your flower show. Lots of my flowers have got rotted with all the rain.
DeletePs, it is so much easier without that word verification :):) xxx
ReplyDeleteGood, thank you. :-)
DeleteOh that salad sounds sooo delicious. Yes do get outside before the rains comes. We are expecting severe thunder storms today. We have already had 2 this week that have dump more rain then I have ever seen in such a short period. So everything is lush and green. I even turned of my timers for my automatic watering on garden and potted plants. Have a wonderful week. Hugs Carie
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie, nice to see you The rain stayed away to-day thankfully, so I'll blog about the rest of the day, you too have a wonderful week, it'll be starting in a few hours, doesn't time fly. Hugs to all.
