If you come on here looking for some mind-blowing conversation or profound words of wisdom, well you've come to the wrong place and will be disappointed. I'm just an ordinary bod who likes to share my day with anyone who cares to listen. Tales of my dogs, my garden, my family and happenings in my life that I feel might just be amusing....If you're happy with that, draw up a chair, light up a ciggie if you wish or have a cup of tea and make yourself at home.

A blog on cancer {Jenny D are you there?}
This isn't my blog folks, but one I've read in a magazine, The lady, Karen Goodwin was diagnosed with Breast cancer in 2007, to cut a long story short her Mum urged her to put her experiences into a blog hopefully to help other cancer sufferers, As we seem to hear so much of it these days and several bloggers on here who have had it or know of someone who is going through it right now, I thought maybe you'd like to check it out, www.breastcancerstory.co.uk and read the lady's story, I got the link from the DAily Express newspaper,

I will check this out as soon as I leave here. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, thank you, Arlene! I have bookmarked it and will read it faithfully. How sweet and loving of you to tell me about it. You are such a dear, dear friend. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteI hoped maybe you'd find something of interest or even hope for your friend Lee, and I hope you too find it of use Beth.
ReplyDeleteAn uncle was diagnosed with cancer last year and rather than proceed with treatments his doctor prescribed he elected to allow his Indonesian wife to treat him with "ancient Chinese remedies" passed down through her family. He lasted less than 6 months. My feeling on these "cures" is if they are so effective, why are we still battling cancer and looking for a cure?
ReplyDeleteDidn't know it was relating to 'cures' Chip. maybe I should have read it all through, but IF I get time I might, but I'm not good at reading about these things unless it's to find personal info.
ReplyDeleteKaren has been a friend of mine for a few years now on Windows Live, It was a shame when it went to her bones. I had been hoping for a cure for her.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a co-incidence Lady Jude, and how tragic for her, same thing happened to my Mum.
